Do you need a credit check for a car lease?
A credit check is carried out by our partners to comply with UK anti-money laundering legislation, this also helps verify your identification and your address.
We do not use your credit score to decide on affordability.
Our partners are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and a credit check is a requirement of the FCA regulations.
Do you carry out a credit check?
Yes, a credit check is required to comply with Anti-money laundering and the FCA. We simoly use the credit check to confirm your identity and address.
We do not use your credit score as part of your application.
Why have I been set a credit limit?
Our underwriters will set you a credit limit at the point of acceptance, this will form part of the terms offered, if you were to go ahead with one of the car leases.
The credit limit is the maximum monthly rental that you will be allowed to go for. If you need any more information on the credit limit offered, please get in touch with the team.
I’ve been declined for a car lease, can you help?
Yes, we might be able to help. If you have been turned down recently by a car lease company or for car finance, then we may be able to help get you mobile.
Whilst we do carry out a credit check, we do not use your credit score to make a decision. We will ask for proof of income and expenditure and out experienced underwriters look to make sure that you can afford the monthly payments of a car lease.
Even if you have CCJ’s, IVA’s or you are bankrupt, we may still be able to help.
Do you offer No Credit Check Car Leases?
No, we have to carry out credit checks to comply with Anti-money laundering and FCA compliance.
However, we do not use your credit score to determine the outcome of your application, we use affordability and stability checks to ensure that you can afford to meet the monthly costs of your car lease.
Credit checks are used to verify your identity and address information.
Can I lease a car with no credit history?
If you have never had a any credit history in the UK, our partners understand and can work with you to find a solution using our vehicles.
All of our checks are based on affordability based lending, so if you can prove to our experienced underwriters that you can afford the payments of the car lease, then there should be no reason why you won’t be accepted.
What is the documentation fee?
We charge a documentation fee on all of our contracts, this is payable before the vehicle goes out and covers administration charges, processing costs and logistics (where applicable).
This fee is non-refundable and will only be charged should the underwriters state this in their terms.
Can I lease a car with bad credit?
Yes, you are able to lease a car if you have bad credit. This can because of CCJ’s, IVA’s or Bankuptcy.
Our experienced underwriters look at every application on its own individual merit. They use your financial bank statements to make sure that you can afford the monthly lease payments.
Can I lease a car with a CCJ?
We allow applications from individuals and companies with CCJ’s as our underwriting is based on affordability and stability checks.
We look at your current financial standing and our underwriters need to determine that you are able to pay the monthly lease costs of a vehicle.
There is a threshold on the amount of CCJ’s that you can have, however, this is set at an individual level and is based on your affordability.
Why don’t you display prices?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to display prices on the cars displayed on our website. We’ve got nothing to hide, but because we work with multiple bad credit providers, their rates can differ car to car.
However, they must make it clear to you before you go ahead with a vehicle, what the costs of the vehicle are and the terms of the agreement.
Can I lease a car with poor credit?
With us and our verified partners, you do not need to worry about your bad credit to get a car lease. We do have a great range of vehicles available to those with CCJ’s, IVA’s and Bankruptcy.
I’m an Expat, can I get a car lease?
If you are an Expat and you are looking for a car lease, this may not be the right place for you. Our partners on this website specialise in those with bad credit or those with County Court Judgements or IVA’s.

Can I lease a car if I am currently bankupt?
Yes, we welcome applications to those who are currently classed as bankrupt.
All of our checks are based on your current financial situation and we look to see if you can afford to meet the monthly car lease payments.
Will I need to put down a refundable deposit?
This all depends on what terms our underwriters set. Many of the terms offer will ask for a refundable deposit, this will be held on account and will cover any end of contract payments or rent arrears.
Sometimes our underwriters may ask for a non-refundable initial payment, this is not refundable and forms part of your contract.
Can I lease a car with an IVA?
Yes, we currently welcome customers who currently have an IVA as our underwriters look at your current financial situation.
Our underwriters go through your financial statements to ensure that you are able to meet and afford the monthly car lease payments.
Do you offer guaranteed car leases?
No, we do not offer guaranteed car leases. However, all of our checks are based on affordability and stability checks so if you can demonstrate to our underwriters that you can afford the car lease, your acceptance chances are much higher.
We currently have an acceptance rate, based on all documentation received of 90% (correct as of 1st June 2021).
What happens once my application has been approved?
Once approved, our experienced underwriters will send you our terms, you do not have to accept these and you can find another car lease provider.
If you accept our terms, our supplier will send you an order form to sign and ask for the payments as set out in the underwriters terms.
Once we have your signed order and confirmation of a vehicle, documents will be sent to you for signing and we will ask you to set up a Direct Debit, Back-up Card and send us across your insurance.
We will then confirm date/time of delivery.
Can I lease a car as a discharged bankrupt?
We allow applications for customers who have been discharged from bankruptcy as our checks are based on affordability and stability checks.
Our underwriters look at your current financial standing to ensure that should you take a vehicle from our partners, that you will be able to afford the monthly lease payments.
What documents/information do I need to lease a car?
Once you have sent in your online application, our experienced underwriters will be in-touch for additional documents and information.
These may include, but not limited to:
- Current Driving Licence – In Correct Address
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Utility Bill (Dated within the last 3 months)
Additional Documents to support application:
- Bank Statements – Showing income and expenditure
- Proof of Income – Wages Slips, Tax Return, Etc
- Employment Details – Contracts, Wage Slips, Reference
Do you need good credit to lease a car in the UK?
With our partners, you do not need good credit to lease a car in the UK. This could be for a number of reasons including discharged bankrupt, those with CCJ’s or IVA’s or even customers who have no credit history at all.
All of our checks are based on affordability, so if you can prove to our underwriters that you can afford the payments, there should be no reason why you don’t get accepted for a car lease.
